• Expert in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial records through detailed reconciliation of bank statements with the company’s financial records
• Deep understanding of accounting principles and practices
• Exposure to US accounting
• Proficient in implementing best practices in bank reconciliation procedures

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Perform regular and thorough reconciliation of bank statements with internal financial records.
• Identify, investigate, and resolve discrepancies promptly.
• Verify and reconcile all bank transactions, including deposits, withdrawals, transfers, and fees.
• Ensure all transactions are accurately recorded in the accounting system.
• Research and resolve any discrepancies identified during the reconciliation process.
• Liaise with bank representatives and internal departments to clarify and correct issues.
• Prepare detailed reconciliation reports for management review.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date reconciliation documentation and records.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, accounting standards, and regulatory requirements.
• Assist with internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation and explanations.
• Work closely with other finance team members to ensure accurate financial reporting and compliance.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Professional certification in accounting is a plus.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting or finance, with a focus on bank reconciliation.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial regulations.
• Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, Oracle) and Microsoft Excel.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
